My name is Charles Jada William Felex, Iam a south Sudanese by nationality and born in Northern Uganda in a place called Oligi in a refugee camp in November 15 1995.
My life story is that of darkness.
It was in 1989 when my mother was impregnated and being neglected by the man who was supposed to be her husband and because my mothers life was also that of darkness, as she grows up as an orphan with no parents ,their was no way out for her to tackle life as an under 18 girl ,so by then she was taken to a near by village to stay there with a relative and their she gave birth to my half sister Roseline keji unfortunately in 1992 war broke out in south Sudan where by millions of people died but my Mother and others survived through the help of a white woman by then they called her Mama, she was a doctor who plays aleading role to save the people until they crossed the Uganda border with hunger no food, no shelter and walking night and day in the bush, so there they were taken to refugee camp and life became hard since my mother doesn\’t have any relatives there and about 20 years old. So there she met my father they got married, after 2 to 3 years my father started mistreating my mother beating her everyday and my half sister Roseline who was neglected since she was in my mother\’s womb, was abundant again with my father and he married another woman again apart from my mother, there life became difficult for a woman who have two children me and my sister and she has no relative near by. By that time she became sick which was later came to be known as sleeping sickness, so fortunately one of her relative whom lam calling as an uncle heard what my mother was going through, then he came and take both of us from my father, there life became abit good because by then I was 5 years old I started knowing thing, As a nice uncle he put my sister Roseline to school and later me too, we studied through difficulties my mother invested her life in digging to make sure that our school fee is paid and to have good future since we are born when our country was dying, she struggled until now l finished my south Sudan secondary school certificate ,but now to join university become a big challenge due to my poor background and poor live that we experienced. I will be very grateful since I am interested in this scholarship to open the light of my future to serve my blind society ,my country and the world in general, please if you can offer me this scholarship.Now iam in Uganda leaving with my Aunt Agnes Igale since the conflict is still taking place in south Sudan.
