NSSAR George S. and Stella M. Knight Essay Contest

National Society of the Sons of American Revolution awards three scholarships to students who submit an essay on an event, person, philosophy or idea associated with the American Revolution, the Declaration of Independence or the framing of the U.S Constitution.

Applicants need to be interested in pursuing an offline or online college degree, but still be a high school sophomore, junior or senior attending a public, parochial or private high school.

The first prize winner will be awarded $5,000 plus a winning recognition plaque, airfare and a one night hotel stay for two at the annual congress. Second prize winner gets $2,500, while the third place winner will get $1,000. These funds are expected to be use for the purpose of paying for a traditional or online bachelor degree.

Course Hero Monthly Scholarship

Are you still in high school but are already considering college degree online or offline options? If that’s the case check out the Course Hero Monthly scholarships which accept subscription from students aged 16 or older.

Twelve awards are offered annually, one per month with CourseHero awarding a total of $5,000 annually.

To be eligible, students need to go to the CourseHero.com website and register for a free account. Each month a new essay prompt will be posted in the scholarship section and registered users interested in pursuing an offline or online college degree in the near future, can submit a response of up to 500 words.

Awards will be evaluated based on the following criteria: sincerity, creativity, thoughtfulness and factual credibility.

Abrahamson & Uiterwyk Scholarship Essay Contest

Students studying with a college degree online or offline or high school seniors are invited to apply to this essay contest.

Applicants must go online to the Abrahamson & Uiterwyk website and complete an application form. Additionally students need to write an essay of 500 to 750 words on the topics described on the website in order to be granted one of the scholarships (2 are given).

Students have the opportunity to win $1,000 with Abrahamson & Uiterwyk writing the check to the offline or online bachelor degree provider the winner is registered to attend. The application deadline for this contest is January 31, 2017.
