Nearly $100.000 in Entrance Scholarships are Offered to International Students at Douglas College
Douglas College was founded in 1970 and is a post-secondary institution in Canada, near Vancouver. Its major campuses in Coquitlam, New Westminster are sheltering annually 14.000 students while its Training Centre in Surrey is facilitating the understanding of what a future professional experience looks like. The College is offering Bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, post-degrees and graduate diplomas, general university-transfer courses in the arts, sciences and business. The College is also offering career programs in human services, health care, and creative arts.
Annually, about 14.000 students take for-credit courses at Douglas while approximately 10.000 take short-term, non-credit courses for career or personal development. The College is also extremely popular for supporting multiculturalism and diversity welcoming more than 1,500 students from China, South Korea, India, Japan and many other countries. Douglas is offering two categories of entrance scholarships for Fall, Winter, and Summer semesters.
The College invites application for undergraduate international students in Canada for the Regional Entrance Awards which ranges from $500 to $1000 and 13 Douglas International Merit-Based Scholarships valued at $2500.
Eligibility for the Regional Entrance Awards
Students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia are welcome to apply. Students will not have to make a separate application as they will be assessed upon application to Douglas College and they will be notified of the award when they receive the offer of admission.
Eligibility for the Douglas International Merit-Based Scholarships
Entrants will be selected based on their previous academic performance, their engagement in their school and community, personal development. For Douglas International Merit-Based Scholarships every country can participate to.
Unlike the Regional Entrance Awards, students must fill a separate application form for the Douglas International Merit-Based Scholarships. Entrants must complete the entrance scholarship form considering the following deadlines: January 31st (Summer), May 31st (Fall), and September 30th (Winter).
