Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship at London South Bank University
Home for more than 2000 international students originary from over 130 countries, London South Bank University (LSBU) has been teaching students for over 120 years, shaping brightly their future. Recently, LSBU was awarded the “Entrepreneurial University of the Year” at the Times Higher Education Awards confirming its high status among other universities from London. LSBU is currently offering diversified scholarships and discounts for international students as it follows: fee-discounts for LSBU alumni, Nationality Scholarships, and a 5% discount for the early payment of tuition fees. Because LSBU believes that education is a powerful resource which should be granted for everyone no matter their religious, cultural, social, economical, and political status, has committed over £1m in financial support. This financial support goes to well-qualified international students meeting their study costs.
A particular scholarship which was initiated to meet the academic needs of international students is the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship. LSBU understands how important is a postgraduate degree to a professional and personal development. At the same time, LSBU encourages driven and determined applicants from across the world to apply not allowing the costs to stay between them and their bright future.
The value and duration of the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship
Eligible postgraduate students will receive a £8,000 fee waiver. The scholarship will pay on a pro-rata basis the courses which will be taken across more than one year. The amount will not exceed £8,000.
Postgraduate students eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship
Prospective students should hold a first-class honours undergraduate degree or an international equivalent. They also need to make evidence of key academic and both practical and professional achievements. The pofessional and practical achievements can be at international or national level, however, they need to demonstrate their impact.
At the same time, the applicants have to hold a conditional or unconditional offer from the university’s postgraduate programs. Applying for the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship
Postgraduate students can apply only after they accepted the offer to study at LSBU. Postgraduate students interetsed in studying at LSBU are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to ensure that they will receive an offer and have time to apply for the scholarship also.
Postgraduate students who wish to submit their applications have to complete the application form here: /https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/courses/postgraduate/fees-and-funding/scholarships/vice-chancellor-scholarship. Go at the bottom of the website and download the application form. Then submit it to [email protected] . EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!! Along with the completed application form, students have to scan their certificates which make proof of their degree classification.

For September 2017, the application deadline is June 30, 2017.

The Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship and will be awarded based on the evidence of applicants’ commitment to their future career and their previous practical or academic achievement.

Solomon Island is a developing country and we are struggling in terms of resources. we need mathematics teacher, lecturers and to send all teachers to upgrade would be very costly for the government of Solomon Islands.
