Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship in Australia for International Students
The Australian Government is proud to award the Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship, a competitive, merit-based scholarship which provides the opportunity for international students to undertake study, research and professional development for citizens overseas. The aim of this particular postgraduate scholarship is to build Australia’s well-known reputation for excellence regarding its provision of education and research. At the same time, the Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship will offer to high-achieving international students the opportunity to increase exponentially their productivity in their chosen field. The chosen international students will, doubtless, gain valuable international experience in both their academic and professional development.
Who will be taken into consideration as an eligible applicant?
The students have to be from a participating country or region. Access the link below and see if your country is listed among the accepted regions or countries:
The international applicants who will be taken into consideration as eligible are those who have graduated a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Also, the applicants do not currently hold or have completed, since January 1, 2016 another Australian Governemnt sponsored scholarship or/ and a fellowship.
Scholarship value and duration
The Master’s scholarship value is up to $AUD 140,500 and the Ph.D.’s is $AUD 272,500. The amount awarded includes travel allowance which is $AUD 3000, the establishment allowance which is $AUD 4,000, the montly stipened which is $AUD 3,000. The duration of the scholarship is up to 2 years for a Masters and up to 4 years for a PhD during which all the expenses will be covered. The travel insurance and health insurance will also be provided for international students.
The deadline
The applications for the year of 2018 are currently open and will close at 11.59 pm – Australian Eastern Standard Time – on June 30 2017. All the postgraduate students who are interested to apply for the Endeavour Scholarship need to hurry up.
How to apply?
Before proceeding any further with the applications, students have to be apply first for an Australian institution for 2018. Only then, they are advised to submit their application forms for the Endeavour Scholarship. It is highly important to submit all the required documents, in order to be eligible. The post-selection support
The department is collaborating with a contractor which will provide the needed services to all recipients such as: pre-departure briefings, provision of advice on health, accomodation, travel insurance, payment of allowances, security, and of course, reporting the recipient’s progress to the department.
